Prayer for healing- why is there sickness?

Every time we pray, we carry heavy burdens we want to express to God. One of these is sickness. Although our physical well-being reflects our lifestyle and eating habits, it is also something we cannot control. We are still vulnerable to certain diseases because we live in the flesh, which to some degree, fails when we reach our physical limits. Stress, worries, heartbreaks, financial obligations, and work demands negatively impact our health.

Whenever we feel physically tired, our spirits often weaken and become hopeless. So, we must come to God, hear His Word, and hold on to His promises. In Rv. 21:4, God said that He will wipe every tear from our eyes and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain. When God fulfills this promise, we will experience what He has been wanting for us to possess- a body that never dies or becomes sick and a spirit that lives forever.

While we wait, we must keep our faith and take steps to stay healthy. We can come to Him in prayer, asking for strength and peace to accept our situation and the blessings that come with it.

“Divine Creator,

I come before You, seeking for Your healing presence and divine intervention. I acknowledge Your power as You are the ultimate source of healing.

In light of my current physical, mental and emotional challenges, I ask for your strength and courage. May your Word bring comfort, restoration, and renewal. Lead me to the right treatments, therapies, and medical professionals who can help heal my condition. May their skills be guided by Your wisdom, and may every decision be in alignment with Your divine will.

Please alleviate the pain, discomfort, and suffering. Replace it with your healing touch and a sense of inner peace. Strengthen my faith and trust in You, knowing that You work all things for our ultimate good.

Surround me with loving and supportive individuals who can uplift my spirit and provide encouragement during this time of healing. Grant me patience and perseverance, knowing that healing is a journey that requires time and dedication.

I surrender my life into Your loving hands, trusting that You are present with me every step of the way. Thank you, gracious God, for Your unwavering love and healing power.
